“writing is one of the ways I participate in transformation”

“do what you love, love what you do.”

Telling stories is a part of who I am. Writing is a hobby that ignites my soul. I don’t write as often as I would like, but oh how I love it.

I’ve been lucky enough to have the experience of combining various passions of mine into career opportunities. I hope to expand my portfolio during my graduate studies at Vanderbilt University.

Here are some examples of work I’ve done over the years:

Michigan State University

As a professional aide for MSU University Communications, I got the chance to meet cool people, tell their stories and highlight all of the incredible things that happen on MSU’s campus.

Here are a few of the stories that I had the pleasure of telling:

Ronald McDonald House

During the spring of 2019, I had an internship with the Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan.

The Ronald McDonald House provides a warm and caring home-away-from-home for families of ill children receiving treatment at local area hospitals and clinics.

I was able to see the day-to-day operations at the House, work with some of the kindest people (they are all amazing human beings) and help plan and execute the 2019 Run for the House that raised over $50,000.

Bateman Competition

The Bateman Case Study Competition is PRSSA’s premier national case study competition for public relations students. Our team partnered with the non-profit organization With Purpose, contributing to the 2017 childhood cancer research campaign.
